Project description

Our experiment within transformative research is The House of Participation! Based on the accompanied research and the intensive exchange as well as cooperation with different groups and actors, an exchange, meeting and creative space is to be created in a participatory process, which interactively and performatively draws attention to the problem of the displacement of young people from the public space in Weimar, as well as initiating an examination of solidary spaces, grassroots democratic decision-making in participatory processes and collective knowledge production.
A spatial-structural installation on the campus forecourt is to be visibly placed to represent a point of contact.
The building has a changeable and flexible character, which can be used for different purposes. In its construction it forms a space for contact and exchange, which can be used in a low-threshold way. At the same time, it creates space for different actions that are initiated by us. The installation and the project are rounded off by workshops as well as music events and hands-on activities. These relate thematically to the discourses and perspectives just described.

open kitchen for all Haus der Partizipation

Vegan KüfA (Kitchen for All) with Kollektiv Rote Soße (donation basis). Schnibbeln: come by 5:30pm and help us prepare. Schnabbulieren: 19.00 o'clock there is food. Three courses of vegan food await you. Snacking: For each course you will be asked a question (in German with whisper translation) which you will then discuss together with the people sitting next to you. The topic: Unicampus for all! Come by, whether you are a resident, a guest, a student or anyone else who is interested!

Since December 2022, there has been restricted access for everyone who does not work or study at Bauhaus University. What does this mean for a campus for all? What can and must we do to eliminate the separation of "us" and "them"? Come by and join the art action!
