»Buy yourself a piece of Bauhaus« - the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, in cooperation with Studierendenwerk Thüringen, once again invited visitors to the Mensa am Park, Marienstraße 15, on Saturday, December 9, 2023. From 10 am to 6 pm, creative students, graduates and employees offered a variety of individual unique pieces, small series and handmade items at the Bauhaus Christmas Market.
More than 3,000 visitors found their way to the Christmas Market with its unusual gifts. Parallel to the market, the Alumni Office of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar presented a magical »Märchenrolle« with DEFA animated short films. In the afternoon, accompanied by DJ Santa, interested visitors were able to look over the shoulders of architecture and urbanism students at the »LebkuchenBauhausWettbewerb« (Gingerbread Bauhaus Competition) or even bid for one of the sweet buildings afterwards. Many thanks to the Studierendenwerk team, who provided visitors and exhibitors with snacks, coffee and cake.
