Projects
The 2025 annual theme »Beyond Now — Environment« emphasises projects and partners at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar that carry out research, art, and teaching that deal with the constellations of living beings, their surrounding material and immaterial environments, and their design. The projects funded by the Presidential Board will be implemented between April 2025 and March 2026.

Biennial of Care

PROJECT COORDINATOR | Guliana Marmo FORMAT | Portable Exhibition, Digital Archive, Public Platform FIELD | Art & Design LOCATION | Weimar, Leipzig Ruhr |
Every art event is different and poses unique demands to sustainability and afterlife. With Biennial of Care we wish to question ourselves on what do artistic projects leave behind and how to provide care for the context in which they are set. Thus, through a mobile structure that collects and produces a guide of methods and questions, we develop an interactive and evolving guide for sustainability in artistic practices. Framed as an ‘after-biennial’ format that grows with every event it visits.
