A new home for radio art! This is Maxie Götze’s motto in her new book, in which she presents personal thoughts on »Das Medium des Radios im musealen Kontext« [The Medium of Radio in a Museum Context] and specifically examines various phenomena and fundamental ways of integrating radiophonic art into a material exhibition format.
Götze investigates the subject from literary, field-research and conceptual perspectives; she explains what makes radio art attractive in a museum setting and why such a symbiosis ultimately points to the future of this auditory art form. The project was made possible in collaboration with Deutschlandradio Kultur and the Experimental Radio Department, Bauhaus-Universität Weimar.
