BisonWatch collects event data with a WebCrawler from the Bison portal. A WebCrawler is a program that automatically surfs through a website and stores the information it encounters in its own database. This event data is then visualized on our site.
For a scientific educational institution it is necessary to offer courses on current and future-oriented topics. Nevertheless, it is a challenge for both students and teachers to check the courses offered at our university for gaps or to identify courses with similar topics. Our visualization is intended to help raise awareness of the university's course offerings and the courses that are trending compared to past semesters.
