A moment in childhood and a feeling that lasts for years: I am playing hide and seek with my granny, crouching behind the large armchair with fringes, squatting on my knees, leaning on my finger tips, always ready.
The memory is the starting point.
In the course of the working process the details form themselves: furniture with limbs, animistic and anthropomorphic furniture from the ancient Egypt, through the Biedermeier time into the living room of my grandmother. I am discovering bewitched and enchanted, real and imaginary things, hermaphrodites, half human and half object, and the spirit of the thing.
