The project "FREE_IT - AR Monuments for Diversity in Weimar" makes augmented reality (AR) monuments for diversity in Weimar tangible. In the foyer of the main building of the Bauhaus-Universität you will find a map showing where the AR monuments designed by the students of the Faculty of Media at the Bauhaus-Universität are located. You can use this map to explore the campus and Weimar and view the AR monuments at the marked locations via a QR code on your mobile phone.
The project combines history and the history of science with media studies and media informatics as well as artistic research and different public spheres. The project "FREE_IT - AR Monuments for Diversity in Weimar" is supported by the "Strengthening Democracy" fund and takes place in co-operation with the Klassik Stiftung and the Volkshochschule Weimar.
