How does your research topic potentially change the world and why are you part of the poster competition?
I am a research assistant at the Chair of Modelling and Simulation of Structures (Bauhaus University Weimar). I come from Romania, where I finished my previous higher degrees in Civil Engineering. My PhD topic consists of numerical studies of Tuned Liquid Dampers for wind-structure analyses. By being involved in one of the research groups, I got to use climate change models in civil engineering applications, as well as set up a system for long-term measurements of a weather station. Blending the knowledge and the results obtained from both the research project and my individual research, I am pleased and excited to share with the academic community and event participants!
