Fund »Demokratie stärken« | New Call for Proposals

Keeping the theme of strengthening democracy in mind, the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar is aiming to improve trust in democracy, science, art and educational institutions in Thuringia. Projects should be implemented between April 2025 and March 2026. Applications will be accepted from all areas of the university.

The »Beyond Now - Environment« funding programme supports teaching projects that deal with constellations of living beings and their surrounding material and immaterial environments and their design in a research, artistic and/or teaching context. The programme is announced and awarded every six months. Applications are submitted online. The award is decided by the Commission for Funds for the Promotion of Teaching and Learning, in which all four faculties are equally represented by professors, staff and students.

Mobility funding to France for early stage researchers working in Germany

The mobility scholarship provides funding for a stay of up to three months. The stay must begin between 1 May and 31 December 2025. Recipients will receive monthly lump sums of € 1600 (doctoral candidates) or € 2100 (other early stage researchers).

Kreativfonds | »Call 2025«

Applications for the »Kreativfonds« in the Projects funding line and in the Early Researcher funding line (applications up to €1,000 and applications up to €5,000) can be sent until 12 March 2025.

Fellowship Forschungswerkstatt | »Call 2025 OPEN NOW«

For teams of at least 2 early stage researchers from the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar with different disciplinary backgrounds and a joint research project.

Applications can be sent until 26 March 2025.

Counselling regarding all forms of discrimination
At Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, there are various counselling services that you can contact if you have experienced or observed discrimination and disadvantage. These counselling services are cross-faculty and are aimed at all members of the university.

Doctoral candidates who are employed at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar can contact the counseling services listed under “Employees” in the case of discrimination.

All other doctoral candidates can contact the advice services listed under “Students”.

University Complaints Office for Discrimination Cases
discrimination or disadvantage based on racist and ethnicised attributions - gender - sexual and/or gender identity - age - disability and/or chronic illness - religion or ideology

University members can submit formal complaints for cases of discrimination to the University Complaints Office for Discrimination Cases (Beschwerdestelle). The impartiell University Complaints Office will then review the issue. If the allegation of discrimination is confirmed, the University Complaints Office will propose appropriate measures or sanctions.
