The new fund supports projects that are actively committed to democratic values , promote the strengthening of social cohesion and are also effective off campus. The projects should also cooperate with non-university pertners and make this work visible to the public.

A further opportunity for all university members who are interested in the topic, is also offered by an initial networking meeting on 11th of April 2024.
EQUALISATION FUND: Female (junior-)professors and academic or artistic/creative employees who are involved in university committees can apply for funding for compensatory and supportive measures. The funds can be used, for example, to hire research assistants, to top up your own position, for conference and research trips, coaching or teaching materials.
The applicants themselves decide on the exact use of the funds.

PUBLICATION FUND: Early career female researchers and artists at university level can receive funding of up to €2,500 for the creation of various publication formats (e.g. dissertation, anthology, exhibition catalogue, artistic prints or scientific poster).

Mentoring on the path to a professorship| art + science
The mentoring programme is explicitly aimed at FLINTA*. It aims to support qualified artists and habilitated or habilitating academics with a connection to art who are aiming for a professorship over the course of a year through targeted further qualification programmes and the mentoring tandem.

Welt.Raum.Bauhaus: New funding guidelines 2024
In 2024, the programme will provide special support for sustainable travel with a sustainability supplement of 50 euros and postdocs funded by scholarships will be able to apply for funding for a conference or exhibition trip abroad.

Kreativfonds | Call for Applications 2024
Applications for the »Kreativfonds« in the Projects funding line and in the Early Career funding line (applications up to €700 and applications up to €5,000) will be accepted until 10 March 2024.
Applications can be submitted using the online form.

Every year, the best doctoral graduates from all disciplines are honored with the German Thesis Award. In addition to academic excellence, the Award primarily focuses on the broader social relevance of a particular piece of research. As such, the award encourages young scientists to highlight the value of their research to society and to discuss their work in public.

The 22nd Thuringian »Werkstofftag« will be hosted by the MFPA Weimar together with the Finger Institute for Building Materials Science at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar on 11 March 2024 in the AUDIMAX of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar under the motto "Resource conservation and energy efficiency".

As part of the DFG-research project "Wohnen im Denkmal/Living in Monuments", which is being supervised by the Chair of Urban Planning at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and the Chair of Heritage Conservation at TU Wien, an international conference titled "20th-Century Housing Heritage in Europe: Conserving, Participating, and Adapting" will take place at TU Wien from 28th to 30th November 2024.
Topics: such as heritage values, ownership issues, appropriation, accessibility and participation in 20th-century housing heritage.
Submissions via a call for papers are possible until March 28, 2024.
On Saturday, the 3rd of February, the IPN visited an Iranian restaurant, Café Safran in Jena for socializing - here their report:
"It was located in the northern part of Jena, up the hill - a small cafe amidst one-family residences. The whole cafe was reserved for us. We tried kebabs, kaschke bademjan, Iranian coffee, and many other things – it was so much that some of us took the leftovers home. Thanks to everyone, who did join and a special appreciation goes to Bita and Omid for being our kind Iran ambassadors!"
