Recap of the Annual PhD General Assembly
The Annual PhD General Assembly was successfully held on May 7th at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. This crucial event provided a platform for PhD candidates to engage in discussions about vital social and political issues within our community. We took the opportunity to provide updates on our initiatives, shared insights into our ongoing efforts, and discussed pressing matters such as mental health support, workload issues, and the StEP.
We are proud to report significant progress since the assembly, including the compilation of a comprehensive list of mental health resources and efforts to increase the visibility of PhD candidates on and off campus. We extend our gratitude to all attendees and contributors. Feel free to reach out to us via doctoral-council@ or through the Moodle room "Promovierendenschaft | PhD student body" (link uni-weimar.demoodle.uni-weimar.de/course/view.php) for further engagement.

Nominations for students and doctoral candidates for the next regular selection round (planned start of studies: winter semester 2025/26) can be submitted up to and including 15 September 2024. Nominations received after this date will be considered for the next selection round.
