Statement:
Everything changes when you change it1- But how? In order to be self-effective in one's profession, one needs not only knowledge but also one's own attitude to important questions of managing projects, leading people and understanding team and organisational dynamics. In many fields of study and vocational training, too little attention is paid to these aspects, compared to their importance for meaningful work. Changing this here and now is my personal concern.

Upcoming Online Workshop

  • Project Management for Early Career Researchers
    Date:  19.-20.04.2023 | 9 AM to 4 PM
    Course Language: Englisch
Module: "Academic Practice" & "Academic Soft Skills"

Why should every PhD student take this course once?
Knowledge and methodology competences in project management are essential in many fields such as science, industry and administration. Yet in many organisations, institutions and companies there is a need for action in the selection and implementation of appropriate strategies.

The interactive nature of the seminar serves to pool your knowledge and experience in project management with those of other researchers. In particular, you will take a closer look at important steps at the beginning of a project. To deepen your knowledge, you can use planning tools as examples. The aim is to question and optimise your previous way of project planning.

Why are these issues important to you?
In almost all professions, PM is a foundation for successful cooperation and the realisation of one's own goals and ideas. I believe that developing one's own attitude and transforming carefully selected PM methods into one's own actions are important skills for every postgraduate student.
