The Bauhaus-Universität Weimar offers a mentoring programme especially for female and/or TIN* doctoral candidates and postdocs. The call for applications is usually opened in the winter term of each year. WISA+ is funded by the Programme for female professors III of the federal government and the federal states.
With WISA+ Women in Science and Arts, the Equal Opportunities Office, in cooperation with the Bauhaus Research School, supports motivated female and TIN* doctoral candidates and postdocs in their current qualification project, and their professional as well as academic development.
The mentoring programme combines peer mentoring with coaching, workshops and exchange events. Mentees meet in groups to exchange experiences and carry out peer group activities. The programme also includes networking and information events as well as workshops on career planning and skills training for all mentees. The focus of all activities is on promoting individual development and providing advice and support for planned (academic) careers.
The mentoring programme thrives strongly on the willingness of the mentees to participate in the framework programme, to take part in the peer groups and to help shape the activities within the group.
Participation in mentoring is confirmed by a certificate. The estimated number of hours is app. 6 hours per month.
