Bauhaus-Universität Weimar: BauhausTrack

The programme provides junior professors and postdocs at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar the specific opportunity to prepare for the diverse requirements of a professorship position or a similar career. This is an essential element of the tenure track programme.

for your interim evaluation or tenure evaluation as a tenure track professor, you will be given documentation of your involvement amounting to approximately two workdays per year.
as a junior professor or postcoc, you can request a BauhausTrack certificate. in order to receive this, you are required to attend at least two events in three modules. the required 80 units can be achieved by investing approximately two workdays per year.

Individual Advising

We provide you with personalised support on your path to a professorship position. During initial meetings, you will establish your individual BauhausTrack for the probationary period. We put you in contact with mentors and, if necessary, connect you with external coaches.

Workshops and Training Sessions

In the modules:

university didactics (Hochschuldidaktik), key skills (Schlüsselkompetenzen) and methodology and know-how (Methoden & Wissen), you will work with experienced university instructors who will help you to develop the professorship skills you need.

You will learn about your science management competencies, expand your repertoire of problem-solving strategies, thus improving your overall efficiency.

BauhausTrack Mentoring

The BauhausTrack Mentoring Programme supports junior and tenure track professors on their path to professorship. This is where you can establish networks within the university. For postdocs, there are two additional mentoring programmes available.
