The Bauhaus Research School funds the international visibility of the research achievements of our young researchs, artsits and designers. We provide grants for the use of translation and proofreading services for foreign-language texts of publications for doctoral candidates of the Bauhaus Universität Weimar.
Applications can be submitted anytime until 15. November of the current calendar year.
Only doctoral candidates enrolled at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar are eligible for funding. The prerequisite is the acceptance for the doctorate by the Doctoral Candidate Admissions Board of the respective faculty. Doctoral candidates who have already completed the oral examination as part of their defense are no longer eligible for funding.
Applications (in German or English) can be submitted by using the online form with document upload. The signed CV of the applicant must be attached to the application as a PDF file via the file upload of the online form. In the case of joint publications, the first author must be the applicant.
Depending on te availability of the funds, the Bauhaus Research School decides about the allocation of the funds after receiving the application. Applicants will be informed of the decision by e-mail. The budget principles of economy and cost effectiveness apply.
Funding criteria:
The grant awarded will be reimbursed after duly submitting the corresponding original invoice and proof of submission of the publication. Proof of submission can be emailed to ipid[at]uni-weimar.de, by post or in-person to the Bauhaus Research School, Dr Franziska Matthes, Marienstr. 14, 99423 Weimar, Germany.
