With the establishment of the “Forschungswerkstatt”, Bauhaus-Universität Weimar would like to promote particularly innovative research topics and research approaches that are risky in a positive sense and make them visible. The resources provided are intended to facilitate encounters, exchange and cooperation, and to create a place for interlinking scientific questions. Outstanding projects are to intensify the bridging of the faculties, departments and disciplines represented at the university, promote interdisciplinarity and research in teams, and explore new forms of academic practice.
In this way, the ”Forschungswerkstatt” is to become a joint place of support for excellent early stage academics and artists (doctoral candidates, postdocs, academic staff and research-oriented Master students), and thus contribute to sharpening the research profile of the university.
