Lecture and open discussion: »GOLD STATT BRAUN« (»Gold instead of Brown«) with curator Jana Prochnow (Wednesday, 20 December 2023 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Limona)
Jana Prochnow's lecture (in German) will focus on her initiative »GOLD STATT BRAUN« (»Gold instead of Brown«) and her work as a curator (Mieze Südlich, Gera). Jana Prochnow will also speak on the subject of artistic freedom, particularly with regard to the upcoming elections in Thuringia.
In addition to the lecture series, in which visualisations against the political right are to be shown and discussed, the Department of Photography also invites students to show works from this context. In December, the Chair of Photography has selected Andreas Schwab to present his work. Documentary photographic works and protest photographs taken on 8 May 2023 will be shown.
