In the past few days, University Communications has set up a Ukraine Aid website. This site bundles current aid offers and opportunities to get involved in Ukraine aid and is continuously updated: www.uni-weimar.de/en/university/news/aid-for-ukraine-from-the-bauhaus-universitaet-weimar/

On 7 April 2022, from 2pm to 5pm, there will be an online event on »The Diversity of Gender at Universities: Challenges and Opportunities« (in German). From 2pm - 4pm, Né Fink will give an online lecture on the topic. From 4pm - 5pm, trans/inter/non-binary members of the Thuringian universities will get a chance to network online (moderated by Né Fink). The event is jointly organized by Thüringer Kompetenznetzwerk Gleichstellung (Thuringian Competence Network Gender Equality) and Netzwerk Diversität an Thüringer Hochschulen (Network Diversity at Thuringian Universities).

The Equal Opportunity Office of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar has issued calls for applications for four different funds for women and encourages all qualified female candidates to apply.

In 2022, the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar will be awarding one »Bridge Scholarship for Women Beginning A Habilitation or the Postdoc Phase«. This bridge scholarship is aimed at female early career researchers and artists in the transitional phase between a doctorate/PhD and a postdoctoral project/habilitation. It is intended to serve as startup funding for the development of a habilitation project or an academic or artistic postdoctoral project meeting high conceptual standards.

In 2022, the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar will be awarding one »Bridge Scholarship for Women Beginning Their Doctoral Studies«. This bridge scholarship is aimed at female early career researchers and artists in the transitional phase between a Master’s degree, Diplom or State Exam and a doctorate/PhD. It is intended to serve as startup funding for the development of a doctoral project.

In 2022, the Bauhaus-Universität will be awarding up to 2 »MINT/STEM Scholarships for Female Master's Students«. With its MINT/STEM scholarships, the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar supports outstanding female master’s students from the Faculty of Civil Engineering and the Department of Computer Science and Media, who have demonstrated (or are expected to demonstrate) an outstanding performance or aptitude in their field.

Annette Reese ist International Counsellor und Studiengangkoordinatorin an der Fakultät Medien und hat soeben ihren ersten Kurzroman veröffentlicht. „Verschenkt“ erschien im August 2021 im Christel Göttert Verlag und wurde am Freitag, 17.09.2021, vor ausverkauftem Haus in der Thalia-Buchhandlung Weimar vorgestellt. Wir haben Annette Reese zur Entstehung des Buches befragt.

On October 15th (from 10am to 4pm) and October 16th (from 10am to 2pm), the Equal Opportunity invites (future) mothers and father working in academia to participate in the PD session: »Work/Family-Life-Integration in Academia«. The two consecutive workshops are intended for Doctorate Candidates and Post-Docs and the tackle the question: »Having a career and children — how can it work?«

Oktober (10:00 bis 14:00 Uhr) lädt das Gleichstellungsbüro (zukünftige) Mütter und Väter in der Wissenschaft zur Online-Fortbildungsveranstaltung »Work/Family-Life-Integration in der Wissenschaft«. Die beiden aufeinander aufbauenden Workshops richten sich insbesondere an Promovierende und Postdocs und drehen sich um die Frage: »Karriere mit Kindern — wie geht das?«
