Here we have compiled a list of further services provided by the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and the city of Weimar which offer chances to get together with other parents and participate in various events.
An information event for student parents, or those intending to become parents, usually takes place each semester at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. Collectively, Studierendenwerk Thüringen, the Student Office, the International Office and the Equal Opportunity Office provide information concerning the topic of studying with children. This is also an opportunity to get together with other parents at the university and share experiences.
The date of the next event is published on the website of the Equal Opportunity Office.
The Parent-Child-Network is an informal meet-up for parents of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar who get together, share experiences and plan activities together.
Currently, there is no active Parent-Child-Network. If you are interested to get in touch with other parents, please contact the Equal Opportunity Office.
The Children’s University Weimar is a joint project of the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar, the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, the Volkshochschule, the German National Theatre, the Kinderbüro Weimar and the town council. In parallel to the regular semester, afternoon lectures from various of disciplines are offered for children between eight and 13 years of age. The pupils get to know persons involved in various Weimar institutions and gain insight into the daily life at the university.
