Children acquire mental health above all when their needs for attachment and belonging, for autonomy and self-efficacy, for security and participation are satisfied. But the building of mental stability can be shaken by crises. The Corona pandemic was a form of crisis that neither adults nor children have ever faced before. In the workshop we look at what children (and their families) need to grow up healthy in such times.
This short workshop will be conducted by Anna-Maria Jakoby, Kinderschutzbund Thüringen.
About the Kinderschutzbund:
"Our concern is to make Thuringia more child-friendly and a society that promotes the mental, psychological, social and physical development of children and adolescents. Children and adolescents should be involved in all decisions and plans that affect them.
The implementation of children's rights is therefore at the top of our agenda. In particular, we are committed to ensuring that the opinions of children and adolescents are given greater consideration, to improving the protection of children against violence and to taking a firm stand against child poverty."
