In the 2022/23 funding year, subject to resource availability, up to 3 EQUAL OPPORTUNITY Ph.D. completion scholarships for female Ph.D. students will be awarded.

To promote equal opportunity in research as well as family-friendliness, the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar awards Weimar two scholarships for recommencing studies in order to facilitate continuation of a Ph.D. after a family break. The scholarship can support Ph.D. candidates who have had to interrupt their Ph.D. for family-related reasons and, following a period of parental leave or time off for dependants, now wish to complete their research and resume their Ph.D. Applicants are eligible to apply if the period of parental leave or time off for dependants lasted at least 6 months.
