The Versant English Placement Test (VEPT), administered by Pearson, is a flexible digital test which you may take anytime and anywhere, and you will receive your test results immediately. The test evaluates your reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.

Step 1: TAKING THE TEST DIRECTLY WITH PEARSON
You can purchase your test at a cost of €34,50 here:

Once you have paid for your test, you will be contacted by Pearson by e-mail. The e-mail entitled Pearson Germany: Ihre Zugangsinformationen für Versant will include:
your name
a TIN (Test Identification Number)
a link to the test itself
a link for you to access your result (score report)
PLEASE RETAIN THIS E-MAIL
Step 2: OBTAINING YOUR CERTIFICATE FROM THE LANGUAGE CENTRE
Once you have accessed your result (score report) from Pearson, you should send an e-mail to english[at]uni-weimar.de using the subject heading Pearson Test Result. This e-mail should include:
your student number (Matrikelnr.)
your date of birth
a pdf of your score report (as an attachment)
a copy of the e-mail entitled Pearson Germany: Ihre Zugangsinformationen für Versant (see above).
The Language Centre will then be able to transfer your result to a certificate.
There is no charge for this part of the service.
N.B.: It is NOT necessary to make an extra appointment to assess your speaking skills.
