Fees are charged for participating in our language courses in accordance with the fee regulations of the Language Centre, published in the Mitteilungen der Bauhaus-Universität Weimar 17/2019 (dated 11 February 2019).
However, when you have successfully completed a course, you will be reimbursed if you submit the language course credits in your grade report (Notenspiegel) in accordance with the regulations of your degree programme.
Students who have graduated can still attend a language course in the semester following graduation without having to pay the fee for guests. When registering, please make sure that you do not enter your university email address, as this is only valid for three months after exmatriculation.
All language courses are subject to fees. The fees are 45 € for students, 60 € for staff members, and 225 € for guests.

Please make sure that the reason for payment is correct so that we can allocate your payment correctly.
Please e-mail proof of payment to sprachenzentrum[at]uni-weimar.de. Be sure to include the language, course name and group in the subject line if applicable. This saves us a lot of work.
Please note that once paid, course fees can only be refunded in exceptional cases. Therefore we urgently request that you do not transfer the course fees until you are sure that you can or want to attend the selected course. Only after your payment is the registration binding and your place in the course confirmed.

PhD and doctoral candidates are categorized as "staff" if they work at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar or the Hochschule für Musik (e.g. as "wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiter*innen" or as "wissenschaftliche Hilfskräfte").
