The measures adopted in December to contain the coronavirus pandemic in Thuringia will be extended until 31 January 2021.

In addition, the following new regulations, among others, will be adopted:

• Staying together in public and in private is now only permitted with members of one's own household or a person of one other household (except for persons for whom there is a right of custody or access).
• Every person is required to take care of daily necessities and basic supplies, to use other services and to take part in recreational or individual sporting activities close to home (approx. 15 km).
• The options for pre-ordering and picking up goods with contactless payment in the retail stores are being expanded.
• It is forbidden to serve or drink alcohol in public.
