There are multiple ways (all equally correct) of expressing various terms and ideas. Rules and standards differ, change and evolve across country lines and decades.
In order to create a consistent appearance of text, we have created diverse reference tools to support the standardisation of how English terms appear in Bauhaus-Universität Weimar publications with regard to abbreviation, capitalization, spelling and punctuation. These resources are not to be used as a teaching devices. They are simply here to support a consistent expression of terms in all media that represents the university either in an internal or external capacity, i.e. university website, online and print publications
The Bauhaus-Universität Weimar‘s Guide to English Text Composition can be used in combination with »DE.ENG« in order to assist users in creating a unified English-language style across all communications. Both tools were created in response to the university’s call for increased internationalisation.
