The university library's checkout and security system has changed from using electromagnetic strips to RFID technology. All items in the open stacks have been equipped with RFID tags. Construction work was necessary to integrate self-service terminals, a new service desk and new shelving as well as to restructure pathways.
New services
- Items may comfortably be checked out, and be returned, at the self-service terminals. A return slot in the entrance area is available.
- Likewise, cashless payment of library fees will soon be available at the self-service machines.
- Our opening times can be expanded in the future.
- The info screen in the entrance area tells you current news from the university library and the university.
- You will find lockers directly in front of the library entrance.
- We will continue to assist you at the service desk on the ground floor.
