As Vice President for Social Transformation, I am interested in how science and art can be used at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar to influence major social transformation processes. I am also interested in how we as an institution are addressing these challenges ourselves. My responsibilities with the Presidium include, for instance, transfer – in the sense of a dialogue with the community –, fostering a sustainable university, and the topic of participation.
Should you wish to discuss a topic related to social transformation, I would be happy to organise a walk in the park, a confidential meeting in my office, or a meeting at the Bauhaus.Atelier café. If you wish to make an appointment, please send me an e-mail vpgt[at]uni-weimar.de with a brief description of your concerns, those who will be attending the meeting, and where you would like to meet.
I am also open to brief, spontaneous discussions on campus. To this end, I regularly hold open campus dialogues in the Bauhaus.Atelier café and in a virtual environment. The dates of these meetings are listed below.
The topic of transfer concerns university members, as well as individuals, companies and institutions outside of the university. Scientists and artists who are looking for ways to realise their ideas, are interested in communicating their work, or are looking for support through a cooperative project are invited to discuss their ideas with the Vice President or other experienced colleagues. Further information can be found at: www.uni-weimar.de/de/universitaet/transfer/
Corporations with external partners from the community, culture, and the industry make up valuable part of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar’s transfer activities. If you are an external individual, company, or institution interested in the scientific and artistic work of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, please contact Anke Rexhausen (anke.rexhausen@uni-weimar.de) to make an appointment with the Vice President.
