This year, the Young Researchers' Study Days of the Research Group for Dutch Art and Cultural History will take place in Weimar from 10-11 June. The event is aimed at doctoral students and PostDocs as well as students who are aiming for a doctorate. The workshop includes a visit to the Graphic Collection of the Klassik-Stiftung and to the exhibition "The Lost Masterpieces" at Friedenstein Castle in Gotha. Abstracts (max. 300 words) in German or English, together with a short CV, can be submitted until 25 April.
The ANKK e.V. Young Researcher Study Days are a forum for peer-to-peer exchange on research topics in the field of Dutch Art and Cultural history from the Middle Ages to the present. The open format of the study days does not provide a fixed topic, but gives the participants the opportunity to present and discuss current research projects in a 20-minute presentation in German or English.
The workshop includes a visit to the graphics collection of the Weimar Classic Foundation, with insights into the recently completed research project “Connoisseurship Today. The scientific development of the Dutch drawings in Weimar” and a chance to view the sketches. Participants' individual research focus can be taken into account when selecting the works. The workshop concludes with an optional visit to the exhibition "Back in Gotha - The Lost Masterpieces" at Friedenstein Castle in Gotha. A joint dinner is planned for the evening before the study days start, on June 9th.
Abstracts (max. 300 words) in German or English, together with a short curriculum vitae, can be sent to nachwuchs[at]ankk.org ( Madeline Delbé). Participants will be selected and notified by April 31st. Participants from previous years are also warmly invited to reapply.
