Faculty of Art & Design
The Faculty of Art and Design serves as an art college for the state of Thuringia within the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. The Faculty’s concept is reflected in the ›Weimar model‹ teaching format used here. Teaching is project-based and supported with extremely well-equipped workshops and interdisciplinary collaboration with other subject areas.The permeation of practical art and design work and of outstanding scholarship is considered particularly important in Weimar. This is also clear from the Art and Design Ph. D. programme, which is the third pillar of university education at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar.
