Founded in 1954, the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering currently covers the fields of science, computer science, mechanics, construction, materials, environment, and management. In addition to traditional and modern engineering methods, the faculty also draws from neighbouring academic disciplines such as law, economics, and social sciences. This allows it to take responsibility for the entire life cycle of the man-made environment and its further development. Challenges such as demographic change, the need to conserve resources, the energy revolution, and advancing digitalisation and globalisation in the construction sector shape and mould this complex professional profi le. Further education and training in the field of civil engineering is extremely challenging and complex
