Tutors for the Studieneinführungswoche (Freshers Week).
The Studieneinführungswoche at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar is the event for all first-year students. For a good success we need your support from 5 to 11 October 2024!
Together with the General Academic Advisory Service, which organizes all interdisciplinary information events during this week, and the events of the StuKos, we welcome all first-year students to Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. We help them arrive in Weimar and at the university in their first week.
As a tutor, you will support first-semester students from your study programme, provide answers to questions about starting your studies, and convey all necessary information in individually scheduled meetings.
The assignment as a subject-related tutor is remunerated with a lump sum of 150,- Euro. We need about 80 - 100 tutors for the Studieneinführungswoche.
Requirements for the cooperation as tutor of the Studieneinführungswoche
- Interest in accompanying/supporting first-year students and students, possibly also on a longer-term basis, i.e. beyond the introductory week
- experience with the special needs of first-year students, empathy
- basic knowledge of the structures at the university, the course of studies itself and the appropriate organization of the course of studies
- ability to communicate and work in a team, reliable work ethic
- discretion and trustworthiness
- preparation of a draft program the afternoons of the study introduction week in table form
(What do you want to do with your first-year students on which day of the week and at what time. PLEASE NOTE: Mornings are to be kept free until 1 p.m. for all official faculty General Student Advising events)!

Registration as a tutor for the Studieneinführungswoche
Registration as a tutor is voluntary. By providing your data, you enable us and the future first-year students of your study program to inform you about the availability of dates and places and to use you subject-specifically as a tutor for the study introduction week.
For this we need from you:
- Salutation

- Your e-mail address (to send you the information)
- Telephone number (to contact you directly)
- Faculty and degree program
- Degree
Storage
The data you provide will be stored digitally by us. Your personal data (e-mail address, name and, if applicable, address) will be deleted no later than 12 months after the end of the introductory study week.
