It is part of the founding idea of the Staatliches Bauhaus Weimar that students and teachers from different disciplines interact with each other, and that different ways of thinking and working are combined. Since the 100th anniversary of the founding in the winter semester 2018/2019, this line of tradition has been further developed in the form of the »Bauhaus.Module«. Students of all disciplines at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar are given the opportunity to expand their subject studies with explicitly interdisciplinary courses and thus to engage with diverse new perspectives already during their studies, to try out collaboration with other disciplines and to reflect on their own actions. For more information, please visit the website of the »Bauhaus.Module«.
In many study programs at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, multi-, inter- and transdisciplinary teaching is part of the curriculum. With the aim of further expanding and developing the range of courses on offer, the university supports the engagement of teachers with the "Bauhaus.Module" fund. The fund encourages interdisciplinary and inter-faculty cooperation as well as testing new teaching concepts and involving experts from science, art and society.
