From November 2024, we will be offering various information and networking events, particularly for new doctoral candidates. The individual events will take place hybrid. In addition to informative inputs, there will be plenty of time for questions and peer-to-peer exchange.
For organizational reasons, please register in advance.
Once a year we welcome all new postdocs to the Welcome Day at the Bauhaus Research School.

ProDoc General Assembly
Save the date! On 19 November 2024 at 5 pm our next meeting of all Ph.D. candidates will take place again. This time we will meet centrally on the main campus in the Bauhaus.Atelier.
On this occasion, we are particularly pleased to welcome the newly registerd doctoral candidates. We will also use the general assembly to introduce ourselves and our work as doctoral council, get your feedback, network and simply spend a relaxed evening together. Drinks will be provided - and you can also look forward to a small give-away.

Writing In Focus - 2024/2025
We're offering a valuable writing bundle over the next months to motivate all our doctoral candidates and postdocs to get down with their writing.
New | Schreibretreat (German), 16-19 December: This four-day writing retreat gives you the time and space to do just that: it offers peace, productivity, inspiration and the opportunity to discuss personal writing processes.
Writing an Exposé (English), 21. January: An exposé often has to be written in science, especially when applying for funding. This course will therefore focus on how to write such an exposé so that it best supports your own application intentions.
Finding your writing voice - (English)
Workshop 1 | Starting off strong, 11 March: This first workshop in the "Finding your writing voice" series is designed to help doctoral candidates develop a clear and concise writing style for their dissertation, with a focus on developing a strong authorial voice.
Workshop 2 | Finishing strong,20 March: This is the second workshop in the "Finding your writing voice" series and is designed to help doctoral candidates write a clear, compelling thesis, which effectively communicates the implications and applications of their research.
Individual Writing Consultation: The coaching targets comprehensible structure and argumentation of a paper, the methodical approach, the writing process, the structuring of work and time, and much more that is part of writing. Appointments this semester are available on Wednesdays between 2 and 6 p.m

Prize for theses with a gender and diversity perspective
Applications are invited from graduates of all disciplines at Thuringian universities whose final thesis (Bachelor's, Master's, diploma, state examination or doctoral thesis) takes a gender/diversity perspective and was submitted within the last two years (since August 2022).
