Inner landscape (Prototype)
Interactive process-based work.
The small and portable garden invites audiences to plant their thoughts and memories, as well as new plants. The object is only a mini space to share species, plants and experiences. As the nature of the nursery is, the plants should be moved next to open spaces and other gardens. The audience can get the plants that they have planted or they will plant.
Idea for the "Inner landscape"
The project consists of a space that will function as a collective garden, similar to a nursery, in which I want to implement a permaculture system for use as a place for retreat and planting, and harvesting of the plants inside of it. This project will work well in a public or community place, and I would like to involve in it, participants from within and outside of the art context. This place will be a receptacle where people, in addition to being involved in gardening, can plant especially their memories and experiences. We will open the call for people to deposit in this garden, as a way of the substrate, objects and materials loaded with their own, family, and social histories. And we will invite people to do exercises of writing or vocalizing memories, sharing them with others if they wish. The intention is that participants can grow or let go of the burdens of those memories, and that the experience of planting and giving those away is an exercise of channeling and liberation.
This space will become a collective archive in which personal and contextual experiences are transformed and reconstructed into natural growths. Nature dissolves hostilities, gives a new connotation and spirit to matter and events, and provides a new beginning and a different perspective. With my work, I'm focusing on how the relationship with contexts, environments, and people will conform, complete, and suggest how the art processes are going to develop. And for me is important how the art projects may become a platform or justification for generating coexistences, relationships and empathies, using the natural as a point of departure, as a sensorial and sensitive scenario, and also like an end itself.
For a big prototype in the field:
