Idee/Idea
Im ersten Innenhof des Museums Reattu sollen kleine Soundinstallationen entstehen, die den Besucher der Nacht der Museen in die Klangkunst einführt und ihn überhaupt erst empfindsam für Sound macht.
I want to create small sound-installations at the first inner courtyard of the museum Reattu. So the visitor will get in touch with sound and is sensitized for it.
Maria/Mary
Die Maria hält das Jesus-Kind auf dem Arm. Aus einem versteckten Lautsprecher soll Klangkunst aus Baby-Geschrei ertönen. Dabei durchläuft es den üblichen Zyklus eines Babys – Aufwachen, Aufmerksamkeit verschaffen, Geschrei, Stillen, allerdings in entfremdeter Form.
Mary retains Jesus Christ. Out of a hidden speaker shall ring out sound art made of baby crying. In the processit passes through the usual cycleof a baby – wake up, call attention, crying, breastfeeding, but in estranged form.

Vase/Vase
In der Vase unterm Säulengang soll ein Lautsprecher installiert werden, aus diesem unterschiedliche kleine Hörstücke schallen sollen. Dabei soll die Vase aus ihrer eigentlichen Funktion heraus gerissen werden und in der Fantasie des Zuschauern neue Räume eröffnen.
I want to install a speaker in the vase under the portico. It shall ring out small radio plays so the vase appears in new light and stimulate the fantasy of the visitor.
Affenbrotbaum/Baobab
Der Affenbrotbaum soll mit mehreren (max. 5) Lautsprechern bestückt werden, aus diesen in längeren, unregelmässigen Abständen Geräusche von Affen, Blättern und den Früchten erklingen sollen. Diese Installation spielt mit Überraschungseffekten und den Kontrasten von der Region zu der Tierwelt.
The Baobab shall be equipped with several speakers (up to 5). They will play in different spaces sounds of monkeys, leaves and the special fruits, so the tree awakes in another context of region and fauna.
Pun: Baobab is called „Monkey-Bread-Tree“ in german.
