"Who will be the Disney of the future? He or she might, I suggest, be a molecular biologist " Vilem Flusser, Curie's Children, Art Forum, October 1988, p. 9. On Science
Projektmodul
Lecturer: Ursula Damm
Credits: 18 ECTS, 16 SWS
Date: Wednesday, 09:15 - 12:30
Venue: Marienstrasse 5, Raum 204
First meeting: 15.04.2015.
Description
Charles Darwin developed his book "The Origin of Species" on a long journey. Perceiving a new landscape and the respective flora and fauna allowed him to formulate a universal concept of the origin and evolutionary continuation of nature.
Within the module games with unicellular and multicellular creatures will be developed. Their habitat will be the object of investigation. Interventions in the habitat, influencing the metabolism or interacting with the senses of these creatures will lead to playful encounters with another species.
The module is open to a many different activities - from culturing amobae to buildingweb interfaces for online games - a large number of skills and practices are welcome.
Beschreibung
Vortrag über ein selbstgewähltes Thema - to be announced (80%)
Language
The course will be in English, unless all participants are speaking German.
