Exploration of Our Microcosms and Macrocosms
Inspiration: Jakob von Uexkull
"all animals, from the simplest to the most complex, are fitted into their unique worlds with equal completeness."
TIME: the only objectively stable thing in the world and the subject sways time on its own world. Without a living subject, there can be no time
The first task of the Unwelt research:
- identify each animal's perceptual cues among all the stimuli in its environment
- the widespread conviction that there is only one space and one time for all living things is a fallacy
The question is: can we see the images of our experiences?
- EEG measures brainwaves, visual representations of neural activity (brain's electrical response to stimuli: cortical evoked response)
Description
- Jakob von Uexkull's Unwelt theory of microcosms and macrocosms sheds light an important factor: communication.
