Hey my name is Joshua. I´m studying Media Art and Design at the Bauhaus University. For me, participating in the course "Performance Platform Introduction" means, working with a bunch of crazy stuff and solving problems in time. I really liked working together with all the other participants and Jörg & Max.

About my project

♦ "KILLING SLOWLY" - a slow motion film ♦

I wanted to show facial expressions combined with a small story and different perspectives. Overall, slow motion makes it much more impressive.

I decided to use:

a slow motion camera

some high frequent lights

a little bit of snow

two actors

a piece of molton, confetti and propably a toy gun

First of all I had to think of an idea, write a script & moodboard, as hiring some people for the record.

After some test shots earlier, we started filming with nightfall a few weeks later. There were some problems, managing the cables, cooling the lights and some software issues.

In the end, I got a smooth slow motion film and a nice composition of mafia similar impressions.
