1 // MEDIA ART STRATEGIES
In my eyes media art strategies should create awareness to the people they are dealing with for their familiar behavior and perception of the world in a creative way. The artworks within the presentation of media art strategies do so. Some more apparently than others. So is Julian Olivers “men in gray” more directly in its proposition than Anthony Gormleys “Blind light”. The artworks, which deal with a more undefined quintessence, are more open to different experiences the people can learn.
The artwork I like the most are the walks of the Atelier Latent. The artworks are not hermetically closed and defined for the recipients. The participants who adopt the work are at the same time part of the artwork and creators of the product as well. Their personal perceptions, associations and behavior patterns make the artwork unpredictable.
The artists of the collective want the people to see the world as it is more intently. They intervene in the reality as least as possible. What is the minimal need to create awareness for the environment?
To add an other artwork fitting to the Media Art Strategies Presentation, i would suggest:
