Lecturer(s): Mindaugas Gapševičius
Credits: 6 ECTS, 2 SWS
Date: Wednesdays, 17:00-18:30
Venue: Online -Seminar and/or Marienstraße 7b, Room 204
First meeting: 04.11.2020
Description
The course will focus on the development of a simple game, which will foster the imagination of interaction mechanisms between computational machines and the player. For the development of the game we will use Max/MSP/Jitter visual programming language. And, if needed, we will use Arduino microcontrollers to sense and/or to trigger the physical world.
In the first half of the semester, students will be expected to develop weekly tasks. The tasks will include the manipulation of simple graphics and animation. Along with the work in our home offices, we will use an Online-Seminar, GMU Wiki, and online tutorials for learning to program with Max. The second half of the semester will be devoted to the realization of the individual idea.
No special skills are required to participate in the course. The necessary tools are provided. Participation at the Big Blue Button Online-Seminar.
