Wake Up!

" Wake Up!" is a project that makes an interaction between the users and sensors. Through the physical touching and shaking movement of the doll “tutu”, the user can change the view-sight of the sleepy lovely doll.

The views of “tutu” are all based on the concept of kaleidoscope. Basically there are three dimensions of views. One is the live camera view, another is loaded with the movie which has been recorded by the user before. The third view is animation pattern.

When “tutu” shows the view of live camera, the computer will automatically record the 30 seconds movie. These movies will be presented continuously in the second form of view.

Ideas and Thoughts

The first idea of this project is optical illusion. I try to use triple prism to realize the effects of kaleidoscope.

With the processing course, I realized that I can use this program to make it work. My project "Wake Up!" will show the views from a child, which is different from the adult. We are indulgent ourselves into Internet, social work, trying to work hard all day long and make ourselves too much stress. It’s time to take a rest to see the colorful world, smiling faces and relax ourselves like a child without sorrow and anxiety.
