This semester, we will create '''something connected''' that has a '''hardware component'''.
This semester, we're getting to the Core!

We will be working on individual projects. The main objective of this semester is to create a working prototype, a proof of concept or a partial realisation of an idea.
We will be working on individual projects and create '''something connected''' that has a '''hardware component'''.
The main objective of this semester is to create a working prototype, a proof of concept or a partial realisation of an idea. In order to complete this task in the short amount of time we have, it is essential to get to the core: of the project, the framework, the tools and why you are doing the things you do.

Every participant/team has to report their project progress every week, as we're taking a look at various strategies how to focus and refine our works. We will look at creative strategies, design processes (scribbling, wireframing, having a notebook), creating moodboards and embedding our works in a theoretical (or scientific) framework, as well as scientific methodologies, prototyping strategies and rapid prototyping possibilities.
Every participant or team has to report their project progress every week, as we're taking a look at various strategies how to focus and refine our works. We will look at creative strategies, efficient design processes (scribbling, wireframing, having a notebook), creating moodboards to communicate nonverbal expressions and try to embed our works in a theoretical and/or scientific framework.

We'll look at technologies, tools and rapid prototyping possibilities, share workflows and strategies, train presentation skills (write and talk) and practice focussing to get to the core of things.
Additionally, we'll talk about scientific methodologies, rapid prototyping toolkits for both soft- and hardware.

We'll look at technologies, fine and applied arts, share workflows and strategies, train presentation skills (write and talk) and - most of all - practice focussing to get to the core.

The objective of this course is to create a refined project outcome within the very limited time of one semester.
