Build your own USB-MIDI-Interface for Pd

Instructors: Felix Krüger, Felix Pfeifer, Georg Werner

Laptop music performances often lack an interface which is designed for the special needs of the artist. During the workshop the participants are provided with a ready designed printed circuit board. Knobs, Faders, Sensors, LEDs, Motors or Servos can be placed on a custom case housing the circuit board. Via USB cable the interface can be connected to a computer running all major operating systems. It will then be recognized as a standard USB-MIDI Interface hence no drivers are needed and every program which understands MIDI will work with the interface. All features are easy to configure by mouse clicks.

Its not limited to musical applications but can also be used for VJing with Gem, installations and performances.

All schematics, software and board designs are open source.
