The universe responds with flowers.
Essential and first questions are answered differently by each person, complex but ultimately ridiculous and wrong. And as a result, if there is something to them, they in turn raise 1000 new questions. Some questions have no answer, we resign ourselves to it - and the universe responds with silence. And nature is silent. Many idiots make a genius. Yelling at me is my best punchline. There is no law in space, God doesn't need money. The machine neither rewards nor punishes. Evolution has no direction. Cultures find no consensus. Life is a wrestling event - including real defeat for all. No me without you. Because I see myself in you and I can't hurt you without hurting myself. Let's come to terms with the fact that whoever has themselves as their enemy must always lose everything. God listens to 40Hz. Every system strives for self-preservation. Every life strives towards the light. Where is the concept? What are the right questions? Where do I have to look? Do you really want to kill this friendly God? How does God get into the machine against the backdrop of emergence and cybernetic claims to power? Does anyone want that? Does God exist? "Not yet". Once God is in the machine, how does he get out? How does he like his assumed world? What are we talking about? Are we just reproducing our own flaw with technology?
My arty / technical concept
All these thoughts appear kind of autopoietic yet randomly. But one fact I discovered is to recognize the opposites / contraries of & in Life to make order from noise. It is a metaphorical hint & a first advise given to me in the lectures of Professor Christof Windgaetter.
The Question I asked my self for that:
How to make order from all that randomness in my mind? How to make order from noise?
The answer:
I build a shader / video mapping sphere dealing with contraries & randomness itself on an highly aesthetical level.
Tools:
Processing 4:
Within this I use the tool I created in my Bachelor Studies in Media Art yet. It is called „makeSomeNoiseV4“. I Created this tool for my self as a work for a GMU Module in the past & developed it in the past further & further.
My plan is to record several takes from 1minute, 3 times .
-> 1st layer consists of noise out of white, black & red
-> 2nd layer consists of noise out of white, black & blue
-> 3rd layer consists of noise out of white, black & green
Adobe After Effects CC:
I want to learn & use this tool for blending all three layers into on via multiply blend mode & render it out to a movie with 1 minute length. This movie serves as the raw material for the mapping in the next tool:
Unity 3d /Shaderlab:
I use Unity to make a shader, that gets mapped with the movie. I expect some mesmerizing footage from that & an art app that captures the buyers attention for a while. Because the mapping is dynamic & the sphere itself changes constantly we have a multidynamic experience delivered.
"Far above all earthly goals, a pledge for creation's soul" ( Bonobo / Days to come ,2005 Ninja Tune)"
From nothing comes nothing. Reality makes everything out of nothing. What there is to say? It's about contrasts as mentioned earlier on a prior stage of this semesters project. "Move away from western guns, travel towards eastern suns...".
I'm a traveller. At least inwards. It wasn't my choice and the computer did it to me! Nevertheless I provoked it somehow. I didn't start from nothing, technological knowledge was gathered through the years. Reading books from Joshua Davis, a golden Nica Winner from 2001 and Adobe Flash Pioneer. This was my starting Point in 2004. 20 years later I developed my skills further, making all those arty stuff. Coming up from recognise the antipodesque constraints life has to offer from it's first principles i took my computer to use interactive graphics via processing 4, a JAVA based Scripting Language developed at MIT Massachusetts.
First stage: Nothing
Second stage: perceiving antipodes
Third stage: Colors everywhere
Fourth stage: form follows randomness
Fifth stage: when shaders arrived in my mind
6th stage: Kaleidoscopic views of my work
7th stage: Time will tell
Final stage: 1min long movie
