Patterns in Nature
This is the third block of the workshop series GMU:Self-Organisation by Design
Theory
Once we have mastered computational and geometric systems we can use them to create patters that resemble the ones that can be found in nature and society. The topics of the first two days are based on the structure introduced in Philip Balls excellent book The Self-Made Tapestry.
On the second day we will focus especially on growth and branching patterns and how to
implement them using what we have learned so far.
On the third day we are going to explore the kinds of patterns that can be observed
in models of social behaviour.
