DARMARIUM

Das DARMARIUM ist das Ergebnis eines intuitiven und kreativen Prozesses. Zu Beginn dienten ineinander verkeilte, runde Pappscheiben als Inspiration. Das führte zu der kurvigen und verschlungenen Struktur der Gipsskulptur. Dieser Prozess bewegte sich ausschließlich in emotionalen Bereichen und fernab aller Logik; befreiend und meditativ. Die Funktionssuche brachte mich zu der aktuellen Thematik „Weltgesundheit“. Die industrielle Nahrung und unsere kulturellen Essgewohnheiten zerstören unsere Darmflora und damit unsere Gesundheit und Lebensqualität. Die Assemblage ist eine Lösung in Form eines Darmsanierungsgerätes.

The DARMARIUM is the result of an intuitive, creative process. For my first inspiration, round cardboard discs wedged into each other served as my first structure idea. Naturally, this led me to use curves and loops as the base form of the plaster sculpture. Working on them was pure feeling and far from all mental work and logic; liberating and meditative. The search for function brought me to a current issue, „global health.“ The effects of the food industry and our cultural eating habits are destroying our gut flora, thus our health and quality of life. The Assemblage is the solution in the form of an intestinal sanitation device.
