For the next two weeks I wanted to deal with snowboard bindings. In my opinion bindings are despite improvements, still not optimized. Especially beginners can struggel with pressure marks at long rides.
The bindings are stiff elements which are added to the board.
I thought about an alternative system to merge our human foot evenly with the planar board. To avoid pressure marks, the conjunction is made of an areal textil.
Based on my calculations, I crossed over the foot with stronger elements to guarantee a secure fit.
To implement this experimental attempt, it would need a very thick and strong textil with a bit stretch.
After sliding in the conjunction it would need a mechanism to tie it down.
