For this project, I chose to construct optimized structures from foam.

I separated two different types of padding:

I decided to build a cube from foam to visualize the different types of stress.
2D-calculations for a quadratic side with four load cases.
Interpretation of the calculation to a shape for the sides.
Milled casting mould with a casted side.
It is also possible to close surfaces in order to produce water- and dustproof enclosures.
After six sides were casted the final cube was assembled:
