During my second „Kurzschluss“ project I tried to optimize a case for a saxophone, which suits both to the form of the instrument and the human back. A conventional saxophone case is mostly very heavy compared to the weight of the single saxophone, so a light-weight variation seemed to be appropriate.
Apart from my SKO-calculations, my further intention was to get an inspiration from Jazz and music in general concerning the form of the object. So that’s the reason why I interpretated parts of the calculations in a rather playful manner.
