Touch, feel and listen, how to talk about ...?

Ideenlabor

Weimar sounds different when you are blindfolded: It smells different, sounds that would otherwise go unnoticed roar in your ears, the noise of cars on the street feels threatening. Your own steps feel the space, your body has to reorient itself. Prof. Nathalie Singer and Francis Zeischegg from the Real.Sense.Lab used perception exercises like these to sensitize the participants in their workshop.

Ideenlabor 2022

Here, small and large ideas for the future of our coexistence are questioned, tested and further developed. They should not only make our future more sustainable and liveable for everyone, but also incorporate aesthetics - in the spirit of the New European Bauhaus (NEB). After all, to reach the heart of society and be truly inclusive, they must be attractive and accessible to everyone.

As a historical model for the NEB, the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar is the ideal location for the Ideas Lab 2022, where people question and innovate, inspired by history and curious about the future. A diverse, international group of idea developers who want to make a difference in terms of sustainability and social responsibility.

The Bauhaus-Universität Weimar is an important network hub for the NEB between the Thuringia region with its stakeholders and supra-regional and international partners. This is where diversity of perspectives, interdisciplinarity, openness to unconventional approaches, the courage to think big and a healthy pragmatism work together to turn ideas into actual innovation. As a contribution to the NEB, the Ideas Lab 2022 is intended to help bring the Green New Deal to life.
